Colonial home in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century, located just one block from the historic center of the city of Trinidad, a short walk from the Plaza Mayor or Martí Park, 40 meters from the bus station, one block internet cafe. This mansion was once owned by Don José Font and Herr, son of a couple of Catalan and German origin, a lawyer by profession, man also passionate about music, photography and astronomy, a close friend of Don José Estrada Palma, First President of the Republic of Cuba in 1902, which keep a dedication along with a flag of Cuba that will be sent on the drafting of the constitution of Cuba on May 20, 1902. In this house still lives the seventh generation of the same family, the current owner of the house Doña María Concepción Augusta Echemendía Font, granddaughter of Don Jose or Don Pepillo as it is also known once, lives with her daughter Beatriz De Leon Echemendía her husband Leosvel Ledesma Lopez descendant of Basques and canaries and their daughter Mariah del Rosario Ledesma De Leon. Here visitors will find a healthy, comfortable and familiar environment where the colonial and neocolonial period combined, largely predominating first. This mansion consists of numerous historic attractions of nature, with furniture and well-preserved architecture, floors and Italian Carrara marble tables, French Baccarat crystal, bohemian crystal from the Czech Republic, Czechoslovakia, original hardwood ceilings, French imperial clock , Spanish bed, imported in 1850 in Lloret de Mar, Catalonia, made of bronze and pearl mainly including furniture and fixtures of Spanish origin. Also treasured photos and documents of great heritage and historical value of the family and the stale Trinitarian villa, the third founded by Diego Velázquez Spanish seasoned in the month of January 1514.
