This isn't just an Madden NFL 24 issue

As the Times said that the bills come with high chances, but both of the bills highlight how absurd it is that any of the top sports organizationsincluding those that play in the Madden NFL 24 and the NCAA — are exempt from paying taxes. It's been reported that Madden NFL 24 has received tax-exempt status as it's an "trade organisation" The teams technically take the profits that the league earns and pay the league back in dues. The teams are tax-paying, but the league itself doesn't. However, pretending the Madden NFL 24 can be similar to a labor union or charitable group is patently absurd. Even though non-profit organizations can be able to claim that most expenses are legitimate ones however, the Madden NFL 24 still reported an impressive profit of nearly $9 million in 2012. It posted nearly $327million in total revenues and paid Commissioner Roger Goodell $44 million. But this isn't just an Madden NFL 24 issue. The NCAA is a non-profit organization that claims status for its efforts to support student athletes, claimed $871.6 millions in 2012 and is now investing record amounts in lobbying to block these same athletes from receiving the funds. Even minor foot races that are awash with huge amounts of money, go on extravagant trips and pay organizers handily have claimed nonprofit status. It's time for us to stop the façade. Tax-exempt status must be granted to organizations that have a purpose greater than making money, and specifically ones that are trying to help the public in their pursuit. Even discounting this past week's incident, Madden NFL 24 has proven that it's solely focussed on making money and gaining for itself and its teams. USA Today pointed out: "If there is a justification to provide tax exemptions to businesses, it would be their public benefit of encouraging commerce for all within broad segments of a kind of business or general" claimed (Philip) Hackney who is and an LSU Professor of Law who worked as an IRS attorney in the area of tax exempt-organization questions. "Commerce is crucial to our country, and we should encourage those who are involved in the field in a rather publicly minded manner. These (sports) organizations are, to my mind, aren't public-minded at all in their financial interests. They are focused on making money for their franchises." There's a misguided expectation for people to view sports organisations as entities that transcend the business world in the sense that they're focussed on the bigger picture. But in reality, that's nothing more than a mere rumor. In reality, Madden NFL 24 is not focused on the public good and maintaining a moral standard. The NCAA is not awash with coaches hoping to safeguard athletes from consumerism. The local race is likely not giving as much to charity you think it is.
